1.46

I didn't go as far, but I actully ran more of it.

My arms, face, and ears were really cold, even thought I was sweating. Looks like it might be time to layer for my morning run.

I ran into a lot of dogs this morning, won't go this route again.

2.02

I walked to the end of town one way and walked/ran the rest of the way home.

I didn't even take me 1/2 an hour---maybe I am getting faster.

I was able to watch the sunrise -- so pretty--eyesight is a blessing!

2.84

I didn't run, but I walked, then jogged for a few minutes, then did side steps---I was going to try to do lunges, but I am WAY TO SORE in my bottom muscles from the new class I started yesterday---

2.84 miles.

Is it possible to run around Sanford (about 6 miles) in an hour?

Maybe that will be my long term goal----for now I would like to make it out the the Cemetery and back in an hour "Running" the whole time. Pretty pathic, but you gotta start somewhere.

1.28

After a long break for no good reason, but lots of excuses--I walked/ran again today. Man I am OUT of shape.

Running makes me feel hot, my lungs burn (is that normal?), and yucky while I am running, but after my legs twitch and I take a good shower and I feel great. So somehow--I gotta learn to LOVE all of the running, not just the after.

I don't think I ran for even 1/2 a mile and I was panting--BUT I had both girls in the stroller--and most was pushing into the wind and sun. I was going to go further, but I need to go build a float--so here I go...talk to you all later.

1.73

1.73 total

ran for .83 of it!

I had no kids (Lucas had Pepper and Pam had Sedona) so that helps alot!

I found out today that I run using a lot of energy--I tried to focus on running more smoothly--wow that helps alot!

Way to much information:--I will be so happy when my saddlebags aren't super jiggly wtih every step

1.38

I did 1.38 miles and ran about .73 of them

Progress--- I didn't time myself---next time.

I want to repeat this again tomorrow--but add one extra block on my way out--

6/21/10

I walked 1.21 miles (about .21 of it was running) in 20 minutes today.

I felt great, and still do (about 7 hours later). I ran about 1/2 a block and felt great.

This is a start!

Goal tomorrow--run the whole pavement part--walk the dirt part.

(Pavement part is a little more than 1/2 way in the beginning)

Running starts today

I had just written this to a running "friend" and thought---why not blog about it--- so here is the letter and the first start to my running blog!

Are you still running? 2009 was not a good year--my father was riding his bike and was hit by a truck, and for months we debated on prolonging his life or letting him go. He died at the end of September, so to say the least running was always back burner with me--so it went away as I lived with my mom on and off all those months.
BUT--I am getting in gear! I ran for first time today in over a year. I signed up for a 5K and I am going to start working towards that!
How are you doing? Are you still seeing that personal trainer?
I love to stay in touch to motivated---to be held accountable--I am going to try to run 4 times a week for the first week (starting today) and then start running 5 times a week the next week and keep it at that--but increase distance, or the amount of time I actually run.
I am about 10-15 pounds overweight and I have a belly thanks to two wonderful kids. I dislike working out, but I am going to change my mental attitude about getting in shape. I really feel like running will help me loose those pounds and shed the fat (I am more interested in loosing fat instead of actual scale numbers).
I will also say that i have horrible eatting habits, but for the time being I am trying to eat less--and exercise more. If that doesn't work then I will start watching what I eat more.
OK--so now I have written you a book!
can't wait to re-connect!
Amy
